According to the National Council of Family Relations (2019) Family Life Education (FLE) equips and actively empowers families to build and enhance the skills and knowledge necessary that will result in improving well-being and interpersonal relationships, through an educational and preventive, strength-based approach. Family Life Educators (FLEs) are educated and trained to teach the above skills to all family members across every phase of the human life-span. Family Life Educators are expected to understand and become knowledgeable of Family Life Education as an inter-discipline of Family Science.
